Why am I locked out of the Sloan thread?

It's the first locked thread we've had on this board!

Which of the administrators have the ability to lock a thread?

That thread really should be locked anyway. I'm glad you posted it, but you need to call him and deal directly with him. I didn't lock it (and couldn't even if I wanted to) but am glad it's done. Everything had been said already. As far as who has the authority, I would suspect the person paying for this site has the authority.

Sloan will not respond to my emails or telephone calls.

I just checked the membership list and see that he is an administrator.

Since he pays for the site I imagine he is an administrator. I don't know the full story, but most people know you can catch more fly's with honey instead of vinegar. Maybe he's not answering your calls and or emails because of they way you talk to him. IDK just a observation as an outsider not knowing whats going on (nor wanting to know the whole story).

Sloan had ceased to communicate long before his antics were publically broadcast on this site. I spent a considerable amount of money with him and part of his product was unsuitable and did not work.

Yes you probably don't know the full story, as for paying for the site, I see you don't and I did!

I have donated to the site. Can't do it regularly because of $$$ issues, but not all of us are rich. I have to deal with the California taxes and burocracy.

I was laid off out of work when this whole supplier thing surfaced.
That's why the money I lost was really hard come by. Rich.....far from it.

I did not mean it like that. I mean come on, we are working on 944's, we're definately not rich. Like Porch said, I hope your issue gets resolved soon but our hands are tied.

I do not post often, but I read every day. I can tell you that I am personally tired of reading the GS bashing. We all get it, he has had issues, and you are mad. Ok, time to move on, this forum is about 944 transplants and the sharing of information. Let's get back to the focus and leave the trail of bashing so that others can learn from them.

I see Admin has locked the thread and has requested everyone use a designated thread to fulfill their need to GS bash. Please respect it and no hijacking of other threads. Admin has other things to do than moderate GS bashing.

This is a great forum for all of us to participate in, let's write the GS issues off to a bad experience and get back to talking about how cool it is to have these cars.

I agree Vorsche, It's really cool to have a running/driving 948 when you have all your swap parts after a year later.
This forum is better than the Real Housewives with all the bitchin' and moanin', although justifiable.

My bad. I thought Greg was someone else on the forum.....
