HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I have read that World Upholstery and Classic 9 Leather Shop (Robb Budd) have good kits. What do you guys recommend?

I got a kit from CL and it is a POS. The side rear sections are not at all correct. It is broken into several pieces and not even close to teh orginal style. The front section is made as one huge piece for the front and back seating area. It does not fit well at all either. None of the holes for anything are precut. The snaps that are supposed to be along the rear hatch are not there. I got burned. Oh well moving on.

Who makes a real kit that is close to original?

You said it.... RobMB (back on porschehybrids) owns [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] He has a 928 with an LT1 installed. He's an awesome guy with awesome work. I personally have never bought anything.....yet, but will.

I would email him what happened and see if he can maybe fix that carpet set for you??? Who knows!

It is a mess for sure. It must have been a "one kit fits all". All kinds of extra pieces. Also, the passenger side where the DME / KLR sits has no access. Cheap Cheap Cheap. I'll call classic 9 today.

I started another thread over at RL if anyone wants to see what is being said over there. It can be found here: Water Cooled Technical Discussion Areas > 924/931/944/951/968 Forum > Another Where to Buy Carpet Post

Classic 9 is doing my seats, front and rear, and my dash/console in black leather. Should look awesome, Bob seems to be a really nice guy. Yes, I have too much invested in this project, and I haven't got to the paint yet! Very Happy
