HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Oil Pressuer Sender / Relocation Adapter Modification
Does anyone have a picture of this modification? XSCHOP said he put the sender on the effluent side of the adapter. I am not sure what this means. Is it the input side (from the block) or output side (to the block) from the adapter.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Oil Pressuer Sender / Relocation Adapter Modification
The effluent "out flowing" port on oil filters is the center of the filter. My Billet adapter/relocator block came with 2ea 1/8-27 NPT ports (influent/effluent). You should be carefull if you tap that style adapter as it is cast and the side wall where you tap is thin and has large groove threading. You would have to use a 1/8-27 NPT tap and they are tapered. When you screw in the 1/8-27 tapered sender, you can Teflon tape the threads being careful not to crank down excessively because you can stress fracture the thin wall cast alloy there. The other problem is that port that you are tapping into will be constricted by the sender.
I bought this adapter ($45 dabay) and even ported the inner flow channels for even less restriction.....

Thanks Rob. I wasnt familiar with the terms.
Is that adapter billlit? Is it pre-tapped for a sender?

It's anodized billet and pretapped x 2 ports. I'm just running one port for the Oil pressure sender. I got lucky and the braket it comes with mounted right to the driver's side tow hook and sets the filter sideways right behing the deleted foglight which flows fresh air right on it
