Wanted: EGR valve pipes, smog pump, vapor/evap canister, and more

Post  subterfuge on Tue Aug 31, 2010 4:59 am

Ok guys, I'm going to need all the emissions equipment to get past the CARB cabal out here in CA. If you live in a free state and stripped off the useless crap and would like to get a little something for it and help out a brother behind enemy lines, let me know. Also, I need the f-body accessory bracket so I can run AC eventually.

I decided to make this my official used parts needed cheap thread...

I still need-

EGR pipes
smog pump
"AIR" stuff, I think?
evap canister
mass air flow sensor
LT1 PCM & Wiring harness (don't know if there is a difference, if so, for a manual car)
AC compressor

Send me a PM or post in this thread. Thanks.

Do you happen to know which parts are Corvette specific? Valve, solenoid, tube, etc?

EGR tube and air system is different. The 1 way check valves are the same as is the air pump. Using the Corvette EGR necesitates using corvette headers since the egr tube goes from the passenger manifold to the egr passage on the intake using a solid rigid tube. from the it y's to a check valve that the smog pump connects to.

OK, thanks. I think I am going to need to get a shop manual to figure out how all this stuff hooks up- my engine was a bit more stripped than I was planning on.

You are in the bay area, right? Yeah, that is a bit of a trek. I guess I need to find a good wrecker around here to pull some of this stuff- and see how it is all put together.

I found that diagram, that part of the reason I was wondering if there was a difference between the C4 and Fbody EGR configs.

Sometimes these exploded views are tough to figure out without the assembled view to reference.
