For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

corvette computer?
I'm dealing with a 951 that had a engine fire. What stops me from just putting in corvette electronics? I'm guess they're cheaper and more accessible. But there's probably some catch that I'm missing.

Depends on how toasted the engine bay is. You will be discarding the majority of the Porsche engine harness anyway, so you really only need the end connectors where they join to the Body and Instrument harnesses. If those are burned beyond usabililty, it still would be easier to do some small repairs with junk yard harnesses than trying to rewire the entire engine bay. Use the Corvette Engine harness and interface it with the Porsche Body harness.
