HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

general update on my car- PORSCHE PARADE IN IL

Post  turbobob924 on Wed Apr 21, 2010 4:22 pm

Hey guys,

I have been offline for a while...

I'm hoping to get the car out more this season!

Lots of changes.
I pulled the built motor and swapped it into my GN. I'm rebuilding a more stock GN motor now. Goal is to make less torque down low and more power on the top end with ported heads. The old 4.1 just made WAY too much torque at around 2500 RPM for the the car.

I have to trace down a brake line leak that has been an issue for a while.

The old 924 steering shaft has some kind of wobble I have to look at while the motor is out too. I might build a custom driver side header to get better clearance.

The quartermaster clutch setup was rebuild and I'm going to try a wilwood MC with it to get a less brute force pedal.

The turbo really creates lots of under hood heat that has caused some of the wiring harness to be not as reliable as I would like so I am working on a new custom harness for the engine.

I need to add a Oil cooler and would like to upgrade the rad too....

This year Porsche parade is in St Charles IL, only 30 minutes from the house. It would be cool if I could get everything done in time for it the week of July 4th.

I know there are a couple of us midwest guys here, maybe we could get a couple hybrids out?

I look forward to seeing some more guys and crazy cars this year!!!!!

I can attest to the claim of too much torque!

Glad to see you around again. I have also been away while I finished engineering school and the job search. I am now back in the game and ready to finish my build. Maybe we can get together this summer.

Speedy:)
