The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Nice work...I'm betting that dash cap will last a VERY long time too.

Re: v8carreragts conversion
Finished my headers today. Now I need to get them ceramic coated. These are 1 3/4 tube and 3 1/2 collectors with 3/8 flanges.

Those look great, the whole project is sweet. Where did you get the polycarbonate for the gauges?

Re: v8carreragts conversion
I have progressed somewhat lately. I found enough money to get the fuel injection on the car so no carb. I bought a FAST EZ-EFI Retrofit systrem and have the manifold pretty much done. I was also able to make up an accelerator cable using Camaro and Porsche parts.

I have the body mostly assembled to start bodywork.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I also gut lucky and found a pair of very nice early 923 Euro front turn signal lenses that are correct for a GT/GTS.

I finished installing the fuel filler and all of the hoses. I needed a new rubber boot for the body to filler neck and was able to get one from Germany through Pelican Parts. I need ign. wires, oil cooler lines and install the body wiring harness and I can fire it up.

LT1 intake manifold on pre 1986 heads, that looks quite nice. I guess that's only possible because it's a setup from FAST EZ-EFI.

Re: v8carreragts conversion
It runs..... Started it this afternoon. The sound quality isn't very good as I took this with my GE digital camera. It's probably time to get a real digital video recorder. In person with open headers it sounds like a pro-stock. This is the first time this car has had a running engine in almost 15 years.

Moved it out of the garage on it's own power!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I didn't take it for a test drive because I needed to adjust the hydraulic T/O bearing. The clutch was grabbing at the floor. Now that that is fixed it has been reining here every day.
