Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Bride Seats, Need Some quick advice

Post  Luke714 on Tue Mar 30, 2010 11:18 pm

Hey guys,

Since I'm not putting the nice heavy, leather, heated, electrically adjustable seats back into my car I need something else.

I've had my eyes on these for a while. I need to make a move and I've got the money. Should I go for it?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

1. Are the actually the nice bride seats that usually go for $800 apiece
2. Will they be miserable to use on the road
3. Will they fit? I would think so
4. Too short? I can block them up though. I'm a tall guy at 6' 5" so I need the extra room to be able to wear a helmet

Thanks!

Black FRP (Fiberglass)
Short trips may be tolerable.
Extended driving: Plan ahead for frequent back-stretching stops.

Those are obviously fake and I want some that are FIA approved so I'm not having them.

stay AWAY from Bride seats!!!! As with other things that share the name, remember the following; if you buy them;

once you have sat in them, you will not be allowed to seat in ANY other seat.
unless you can state exact mileage and turn by turn, the seat will get uncomfortable until you are forced to STOP and ask for directions.
You will be forced to listen to these seats you entire waking hours and endure painful stories about how the seats are feeling.
If you have a remote, it will not work with these seats.
Every 28 days or so, the seats just will not operate well and will make your drive hellish.
if you have video in the car, it will automatically change to Seat Entertainment Channel.
The seats will constantly insist they are too large and make you eat cardboard until they feel better. This is worse at the aforementioned 28 day time.
If you have the occasion to fart, the seats will protest mightily.
They will have to be upholstered quarterly to match what is in fashion.

hehe

hahahahaha Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing lol!

how about a set of Corbeau Forza's? I need to get something and I'd like it to be lighter than the stock seats but not look too tunerish or out of place in a Porsche. Can't afford anything too ridiculous either (high end sparco for eg)
