HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

starter question
i have aquired a c5 manual 2 piece bellhousing that im using on my early small block conversion .i have a 153 tooth 10.5 flywheel that im using.can i use a factory style early small block starter with the c5 bellhousing.i know msd makes one that will work but they are rather pricey and i have a rebuilt gm starter that i would like to use for the early small block

The factory GM starter should fit inside the 2-piece C5 bellhousing, from what I have measured.
Only starter issues have been with the 1-piece BH, and the MSD starter works with those.

thank you for your help im getting closer every day ill be ready for my adapter next week .waiting to get my block back from machine shop or id have tried my starter to see how it fit

Starter question
I have an LS3 with a 2 pcs. C5 bellhousing and the MSD starter would not work. I since have picked up a PowerMaster XS starter. I will install this week.

im running an early sbc ill find out once my block gets back from machine shop im pretty sure my gm starter will work thank you for your input friend

what year block do you have? i got a 67 i am using with the c5 and the stock starter does fine.
