HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Airpump Electical
I am trying to figure out the electical for the Airpump. I am going to have to include this in my build as this is a California car and will not pass inspection without it.
I do not know how this is supposed to get wired into the new circuit. I see from the wiring diagram that it is tied to a 25A (hot at all times) to a relay that is tied to the ecm.
So:
Where do I tie the constant hot to from the 944?
How do I set this up to a relay that is controlled by the ecm?
What is the easy way to do this (deleteing the airpump is not an option!)?
Thanks,
Ted

Re: Airpump Electical
86 need to be to a good ground if the ecm puts out a positive control voltage. More than likely it puts out a negative which would mean that you would hook this to a ignition controlled hot wire, I would recommend about a 5 amp fuse on that.
85 would be hooked to your ecm control wire. Check it for + or -
30 would be hooked up just like the diagram, just use a 25amp fuse. I would get my hot as close to the battery as possible without it being right on the battery terminal. On the terminal gives you to much of a chance of corrosion.
87 would be connected to you air pump motor.
87a would not be used.
