The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

AOR transmission question

Post  cfgioja on Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:08 am

I saw a member post on here earlier about an aor transmission they had found.

My understanding from the research I have done, that this would be the best option for all of the v8 conversions. It has the hardened 1st and 2nd gears, the reinforcement plates and it has the gear ratio that is needed for our engines.

So the question then comes to how much would one be worth? The one I found is well above the rest of the turbo trans, they want 1499.00 having 156K on it. They say it seems to shift well and has no warranty, sold as is. i know unless buying brand new there is not much of a warranty any could offer. I can find a turbo lsd w/oil cooler for 900.00.

Does AOR make it worth that much? Or is it asking too much still?
