Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

It flames my arse when some smart-ass thinks he can hide behind a keyboard and talk so much smack. He would definitely NOT do that here...

Re: LS1 members ATTENTION!!!
Its always the same types that find something or anything wrong with what we do. The same types that flame a youtube video even if its a good one. They do it just simply to do it. Sad really.

Re: LS1 members ATTENTION!!!
How does he even go about saying that an LS1 swapped 944 will do 6.0-6.5s 0-60?. My M roadster with 215rwhp and around 3200lbs does 0-60 in the mid to high 5s. I plan on being mid to low 5s with the stock 5.3L truck motor.

Re: LS1 members ATTENTION!!!
that guys definitly an idiot .ive weighed my 86 944 at a scale at local grain elevator .2877 with me n it and 0 to 60 im not for sure you can figure my 1/8 mile time slip at local strip 6.88 at 113 mph .i like corvettes up to the 73 model and have owned 5 vettes.they ride like a log wagon.the gmc truck i drive has a smother ride. my 944 s ride and cornering ability is better than any vette i have ever owned. dont get me wrong the corvettes are nice but way over priced.corvette enthusiusts ought to be flattered that were using gm motors.different strokes for different folks they say.

Re: LS1 members ATTENTION!!!
I hate to bring facts to this argument, but a z06 IS about 1/2 second faster much of the time. There is an event that i cite for saying this. Cannonball Run includes a drag race most years, where road legal cars with drivers that are MOSTLY road racers driving them. I ran my first ever drag race at the 07 event at IRP. I beat some vettes but some beat me as well. The results were (finish position, car, time and driver):
3 8 Cheverolet Corvette 12.410 driven by Steve Stubbs, Aaron Pfadt
9 25 Chevrolet Z06 Corvette 0:12.616 driven by Dan Corcoran, Kyle Corcoran
10 9 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 0:12.634 driven by Patrick Gramm, Steve Hardy
21 16 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 0:13.241 driven by Mark Aaron Murnahan, Angel Morales
26 27 Porsche 944 0:13.523 driven by J.E. Browne, Ken Mann
30 23 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 0:13.599 driven by Rudy Arias,
33 28 Chevrolet Corvette 0:13.675 driven by Bion Stewart, Paul Kerper
44 20 Corvette C6 0:14.109 driven by D*** Clark, Jerry Clark
45 32 Chevrolet Corvette 0:14.145 driven by Keith Perry, Wayne Nordstrom
55 65 Porsche 944 Turbo 0:15.005 driven by Niul Burton, Gary Taylor
Now if we wanna talk $#** to the 944 turbo guys, we probably wont have to eat much in return.
