HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hey guys,
As you know I'm kinda new to the forum, thanks for putting up with me! I have a plan to do a LS1 swap into my 951. I was wondering if there is anything like this in the Maine area? Of course it's winter so it'll probably wait until spring even if there is someone near. Very Happy

Thanks,
Luke

Heya Luke!

I'm also in Maine (southern). What part of the state are you in? Very Happy I've been plotting to put the LS1 in my garage into the 86NA in my garage for over 5 years now.. I'm finally packing up the girl and moving to Texas for another couple years of college, so I'm looking to finally do it this summer. Twisted Evil I've got a relatively small budget, (3k-ish) but I already have the LS1 and the car. Come to think of it, I'd love to pose this to the group.. creating new topic. Sorry to threadjack! Shoot me a PM sometime cheers

Hey,

Good to hear there is somebody else around, did you decided what you wanted to do for the adapter plate? I live on the Coast around the Bangor area, but I'm staying in Portland this summer. Sorry I didn't notice anyone had replied to this post, but you did PM me. When are you hoping to have it done? There's going to be a great autox at the airfield up north on the 21st.

Cheers,
Luke

Heya Luke!

Staying in Portland eh? I live nearby and go there several times a week. I did decide to go the c5 BH route rather than the QT. If you have the means and time to whip up another adapter, that would be great! What I'd rather not do, is cause you a headache or inconvenience though. If you can do it, I'm all over it. PM me what you need and I'll make it happen.

I was hoping to get the car done by August so we can relocate, but I'm at the mercy of Eric's crossmember, and he's waiting on S&P (Greg said almost done). Depending on how long that takes and then the subsequent hard stuff and whatnot we may delay our departure and just start school in the spring instead of Fall. We'll see how it all goes! Thankfully I quit my job to do this, so I've got all day every day once parts are in Very Happy

Naval air station doing the autoX? Are you going w/your lotus 7 clan? Sadly we'll be in Deer Isle for a wedding that week
