The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: CSR Thermostat Housing Info and Another Alternative
Thanks Mike. I'm glad I'm not the only one to run into this problem. I,m going to make a whole new adapter plate that steps the Truck T-stat down to properly close the port and circumference a snap-ring grove to keep it locked in place.

Here's a clearance shot of the stock housing, before I cleaned up the hose end.

Hey 87-944S, where did you get that hose from? I went all over A-zone' back wall of hoses and nothing had a good enough bend to be just right. Thanks

Re: CSR Thermostat Housing Info and Another Alternative
I used and Advanced Auto Parts D71500 for the lower hose. It was a tight fit between the radiator and T-stat, so I cut it in the middle and used a piece of tubing to extend the hose. I used a section of this hose, the angles were perfect. I'm using an all aluminum Turbo radiator I had Griffin make without the Porsche fan switch bung, since I'm using the GM computort to control the fans.
