For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: How To Fit Manual Brakes, Engine In The Way!
are you using the subframe spacers?
no matter what you do you will have to move the coils. that being said, i cant say ive seen that setup you have used in a v8 swap. any setup ive seen uses a tilton or wilwood bracket that stack the masters vertically. here is what my setup look like
most people dont angle the bracket towards the strut tower, but i wanted the extra room. if you look around here you will find some other setups people have built.

Sharkey,
Is your setup custom-made, or can i buy it somewhere? Part numbers, etc?
(( i wonder if i am trying to install the Kokeln bracket in the wrong direction??? ))
Edit: yes i have the 1/2 spacers installed. i almost forgot them, lol, but caught it at last minute
Thanks!!!

my setup is custom made using a wilwood universal dual master cylinder bracket.
the kokeln dual master cylinder setup was never built with a v8 swap in mind. you are trying to install it correctly.

this one?
https://troyerracecars.com/products/574/wilwood-dual-master-cylinder-mount/?c=asphalt%2Fbrakes%2Fwilwood
do you think something like this might work, too?
https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Wilwood-Forward-Swing-Dual-Master-Cylinder-Brake-Pedal,1960.html
i'd like to do as little Fab work as possible, since i'll have to outsource to a local custom shop. i currently can't mill, lathe or weld. someday... someday...
thanks again for your help!!!

Re: How To Fit Manual Brakes, Engine In The Way!
yea the first one is what i used.
it was pretty simple for me to make. started with a 3/16" thick steel plate to bolt to the firewall. i then used some 1" square tubing to build a piece to weld to it and support the master cylinder bracket. add a gusset, built a pushrod using a heim joint and some steel tubing, nothing too hard.
one member here did make a small batch years ago of a mount that was very similar, and there was one for sale in the classifieds not too long ago. maybe have a look and see if its still there.

Is it close if you rotate the Kokeln unit 90 degrees from the orientation in your first pic?
