For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

New Style TPC Manifolds vs Spark Plug Wires
Hey all, hoping someone can help with a quick resolution.
I've gone through FOUR sets of spark plug wires, hoping someone can offer a solution without me having to buy a 5th set, lol. Thrown enough money away already.
See images below, the new-style manifolds from TPC don't have clearance in two locations for spark plug wires. In both locations, no matter what I did, 180/135/90, the boot/wires sits on the manifold.
Please help!!!
Edit: Click on the image to see the full image, its cropped in the post???
Thanks,
James

Unfortunately, no. The space is so small, even the boot touches. The only boot i could find that cleared was a 90-deg, but it had to be rotated pointing directly backwards to clear.
Currently, that fiberglass sock is attempting to protect the boot and wire, but, i have no way of knowing until i have the car finished, which is at least two months away... :'(
I'm almost wondering if i should wrap some titanium header wrap around the spark plug boot and wire?

Re: New Style TPC Manifolds vs Spark Plug Wires
Why not wrap the header in that area as well? Although it would be a shame to cover up those nice shiney pipes. And, that is if you can't find a satisfactory way to route it further away from the header. You could always build your own wires to suit as well, but of course that's more money...

I can't wrap the header because i'll be off-roading through mud, rain and maybe snow... :'(
Do you know of any "better" heat socks out there? I thought i saw titanium socks, but it was some junk Amazon page with Chinglish all over it, lol.
Thank you for your insights! I'm getting some fresh ideas i think i can use! ^_^

Re: New Style TPC Manifolds vs Spark Plug Wires
If you coat your wrap with a product like this, it "should" seal out most liquids. Completely understand your concern, but would imagine even rallying it would be pretty tough to get a significant amount of mud/snow/water that high up on your headers, unless your running w/out a hood!
