The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Ls3 drive by wire pedal

Post  Plucky948 on Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:55 pm

Posting to find out if anyone using the GM drive by wire pedal was able to find one that mounts to the floor like stock 944 turbo pedal. I'm not happy with the hanging pedal for driving, it feels like a Camry. It seems using the Jegs Lokar aluminum assembly is better quality. What I really want is the original 944 turbo gas pedal with my rennsport aluminum plate hooked to the GM drive by wire unit on the back. Has anyone done this or something better other than a floor mount box?

I have seen pics of one that used the 944 pedal mounted on the floor with the gm pedal mounted in such a way that the rod was against the back of the 944 pedal. GM pedal was mounted above it to the firewall area. And the plastic gm foot pad had been removed.

That's exactly what I am interested in doing. I did some measurements and as an upgrade the Ferrari 348 solid aluminum pedal would be the best option. It has a longer and thinner footprint and look nice. They perform well though some adjustment would be necessary beyond how to hook the GM pot and rod on the back.
