HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I've decided to turbo my 5.3, and shove the turbocharger behind, and below the passenger headlight. From what I have read, clearances are tight to reverse factory cast iron truck manifolds to plumb the hotside.

Texas Performance headers appear to conform to the engine better but no idea on how they sit when reversed. Hooker Headers makes turbo manifolds too but the collector appears to stick out too far. They are also $$$$.

Any recommendations on a good set of turbo headers for this LS build?

I ended up building my own out of the LS manifold. I flipped them so they faced forward and then cut and welded from there. Things are very tight so it takes a lot of work but it can be done.

Check these out. I don’t have my motor installed yet but these are hard to beat if they fit. They do provide nice measurements/dimensions so you could see if they would work. You can actually buy them individually and even with crossover to connect the two.

does look like stock truck manifolds they dont cut it with the steering Shaft !

The TPC header for the driver side will work with the Hooker passenger. I can duct the driver side around to the passenger for the merge from the rear of the engine.

Unfortunately a while back I got scammed out of a deposit on a 944 and the build is on hold

Mongo, Did you fit the hooker manifold on the passenger side? Curious if you mocked all of this into a car to confirm.
