HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: 4.8 Ls beast!
Nice! That looks mean.... I bet it flies!!
I just turboed mine too; I did a rear mount turbo. I used a T72 with a p trim .96 a/r turbine. I still have some little things to do. Im going to wrap the exhaust from headers back. Hopefully it all works... im not sure how its gonna drive or how it will boost. I might have to change the turbine housing to something a little smaller. Surprisingly, its not that loud with no muffler.

Re: 4.8 Ls beast!
Very nice Yamamtx, I see many similarities to both of our approaches.
Hows she handle all that power? She grip well, on the street/track? Is she a handful... do you have traction control, boost by gear? What ECU setup are you running?
I am planning on doing a Holley Terminator setup, big brakes and stickyyyyy tires once I line out the main driveline fabrication work on mine.
Thanks for sharing the nittttty gritty bud!

Re: 4.8 Ls beast!
Slpr948 so far it puts the power down pretty well. Im running 16-17 lbs of boost in all gears. The bigger turbo comes on a bit later so traction isn't a huge problem if you control your foot. In 1st and 2nd when boost comes on they will spin out of control if you allow it. In 3rd once in a while I can feel it spin a little around 80mph but so far it is controllable. I don't have traction control, I also don't have power brakes or steering. I did however retro fit some Cayman front brakes to the car which helped! As for the ECU it is the stock chevy ECU and tuned on HP Tuners. The car is a lot of fun. I cant wait for summer and it gets warmer around here so I can get some more time on the setup. In the past my tires spin much less when it is 80 outside vs 40 outside like right now.

Have more pictures of this setup?
