When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Steering Rack Question
I recently disassembled my steering rack to clean and do an entire rebuild. It is a 1983 944 N/A steering rack. I am curious about what bolt or plug goes in to the open bolt hole to the right pictured below. Any help in pointing me to the right bolt would be much appreciated. It is threaded just not sure what it is I need to order to fit. Thanks

Re: Steering Rack Question
That's the steering rack centering hole used to center the rack during alignments I think. This tool goes in there:

You can make the tool from an M10 x 1.0 thread bolt, or you could cut a bolt off short to make a plug.

Re: Steering Rack Question
Awesome thanks for the response that's exactly what I was looking for.
Next question, does anyone know where I can pick up an extra bushing that goes in the bottom of the steering Rack pictured below. When I took this Rack off the car the bottom of that shaft was exposed and that bearing was tore up. I took the bearing out but cannot locate another one. Also once the bearing is installed how do you seal up the bottom so dirt and grime cannot access the bearing or bottom of steering shaft?
