HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Brake pedal return spring

I'm having a heck of a time finding where the return spring for the pedal mounts. This is so the brake lights work. I have mechanical brakes with Tilton MS and a hollow brake pedal. There is the hole above the clevis hole, but where does the lower end of the spring mount. There is a hole in the brake switch mounting bracket that is used for a tyrap to hold a wire bundle. Can't believe it goes there. Impossible to connect both ends of the spring from what I've tried. That's the only location I can find. Has anyone use a different spring/method. I just can't remember how that spring mounts. Any suggestions welcome.

With the pivot bolt out, install the spring on the pedal. Then work the pedal back into position and reinstall the bolt. That's how I did it.

Thanks: Did you use the hole I referred to that is used to tie-wrap the wire bundle, or somewhere else?

Sorry, I did it 2 years ago. I don't remember which hole. Been in Italy for the past 20 months, Italian wine is 5 bucks a bottle......just don't remember!
