HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Remote Oil Filter Location? Empty Remote Oil Filter Location?

Where have you all been mounting the remote oil filter bracket? I have -10AN outlets on the pan, like the Moroso 20140 (the SummitRacing copy). There doesn't seem to be much room below the car. My thought was on top of the driver side frame rail, with the filter mounted horizontally. Anyone have better ideas?

Mine is on the outside of the passenger side frame rail, mounted there with my Accusump. My oil cooler is cross flow so dumps out on that side. Filter is mounted vertically to enable filling it up before screwing it on at oil changes.

Mine is mounted on the right side of the engine using the a/c bracket.

Not a great picture but you can see the filter..

Hi Super,[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

My filter is located in an unconventional place, but it's worked out perfect.  The lines are shorter and are routed away from the headers and up the firewall where there is a ton of room.  Changing the filter is a breeze,  It's high enough for a baking pan to slip under and catch all the oil when it's removed.

ciao,

Gord.

p.s. It's by the battery if you can't spot it!!

I have mine mounted on the right side of the drivers side frame rail.  Works well with the oil cooler mounted in front.
