For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Here's some good tunning / scanning software info for the LT1
Here's some good tunning & scanning software for the LT1 engines. I have used Tunercats and Datamaster. Both are good programs; I have recently started looking into some free tuning & scanning programs which are Tunerpro (tunning), EEhack and scan95 (scanning & data logging). These programs are just as good if not better than tunercats and datamaster.

Tunerpro ----------> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Tunerpro EEX file definition-------------> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
EEhack--------------> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
These three programs are all you need to tune and scan your LT1 engine. You create your tune in tunerpro and you can flash it with EEhack.
EEhack will also datalog, adjust timing advance in real-time, adjust open loop AFR in real-time, test idle target speeds while adjusting timing and fuel to nail the perfect idle, enable/disable fans, closed loop and a AFR analyzer. It also allows you to hook up a pin from the ECU just for a wideband sensor.
You can read about it here ---------> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Scan95 is very good for scanning codes and data logging.
Just thought I'd share.... Not sure how many guys actually have the old LT1 engine.

My "old" LT1 is still running strong, there are some of us still left.
It never even occured to me that there might be some newer options out there; i started using Tunercat and Datamaster at least 10 years ago.
Thanks for sharing.
