For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

Does anyone have a turbo trans that they could scale. I am going to check my T56 but need a reference to base my shock package on. Thanks.

Re: trans weight
I don't have mine out currently, but recently did, and the conversation about weight came up. I was told a turbo trans with cooler weights 140 lbs. However, I didn't see it on a scale with my own two eyes, so take that for what it's worth. Having lifted it myself though, it sure felt like that was a pretty close figure.
I'll have my trans back out though in the next few weeks, so if you don't have a definitive asnwer by then, I'd be happy to throw it on the scale and report back.
Best of luck.

Thank you for the response. It would be appreciated. I am trying to sort out the spring weight for the rear with the T56 trans. My car was a 24 and i never thought about weighing the snail before i got rid of it.

Re: trans weight
944 trans is 120-140 range depending on model and cooler.
924 snailshell is lighter, closer to 100lbs.
