For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

I'm tapping out...
Well guys, after collecting everything I need for a build, I have run out of the desire to see the project through. I have a lot of very nice stuff that I will be putting up for sale. I seriously have everything. If you are building outside of California, it is a slam dunk. If you are going to build in California, good luck. For me, it's just too much of a pain in the ass and that is where I stopped. In CA you will need to modify the cast iron exhaust manifolds (I have them unmodified), modify the steering shaft (I have the parts), you will need a modified drivers side motor mount upright (I have it), smog pump (I have it), charcoal canister (I have it). And some other stuff.. Then you get to deal with the bureaucracy.
Anyway, look for some posts in the For Sale section soon. Like I said, I have some really, really nice stuff...

I've had a similar experience almost
I bought my project car in December 2005 and it is now within about 30 hours of completion. The conversion is being performed by an individual who has performed this task many times. Without him I would have given up long ago.
Good luck,
