When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Ground clearance @ radiator HELP

Post  Jasonscottw on Thu Oct 23, 2014 5:18 pm

I just installed a griffin radiator in my 87 and I'm worried the brackets I fab'd put the radiator too close to the road. How low is too low? What is the ideal ground clearance for a daily driver? I don't want to have to ease it over driveways and such. Bottom of the radiator currently sits 7.5 inches above the ground (but that is with very tired springs). Anyone got any advice? Much appreciated-

That should be plenty.

I have a custom radiator in mine, and the lowest part of the car, splitter / radiator and oil pan are only 4 inches if that from the ground. Just have to be careful on speed bumps.

I had the Renegade rad in my car and it scraped constantly. I replaced it with the 951 rad and it made a huge difference, now when I scrape its usually "just" my front bumper.
