The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

Turbo 5.3 T56 944 Build

Post  Sentronix on Mon Aug 04, 2014 1:11 am

I will be using this thread to document my 5.3 LSx into my 1985.5 Porsche 944.

Plans for the car:
Aluminum 5.3
T56 6 Speed Transaxle from a Corvette
Custom built turbo kit
BW S366 Twin Scroll Turbo (my goal is to have the BEST powerband for street use)

The car when I picked it up.  It had a blown head gasket (at least)

Just a good old fashion hell yeah.
I see why those pics of the 930 adapters have a long taper run on them now. The ODs of the bigger joints probably don't clear the alloy arm inner recesses. Good find.

Yes, they look like a great design. You interested in machining a set?

There must be a Co. Making them. Do you have a .jpeg copy?
I called Patrick motorsports and confirmed that their adapters were 78mm PCD (type 1).... No go.

Pretty sure Sentronix decided to stop the build and sold everything off already. I am still working on mine, slowly but surely...

Any upates?

ideas on routing the exhaust pipes? Using the stock truck manifold flipped to the font avoids the steering clearing issues?

I had a turbo setup with the Buick GN Turbo V6 I had in my car for a while. The buick is the same total width and fitting the turbo down pipe is TIGHT!
