When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

BMW HB with cereal bowl?

Post  murrayg on Sat Jun 14, 2014 6:54 pm

Anyone use the BMW HB with the 944 cereal bowl? Looks like by opening the center hole slightly, it'll bolt right in. Engine is LS1. Any advice here??

Gord.

Disclaimer: i have not installed a BMW hydroboost setup.

I think you will probably run into two problems using the cereal bowl..

1) The cereal bowl will mount the booster assembly quite far off of the firewall. So you will likely need to extend the push rod.

2) The raised portion of the cereal bowl interferes with the cylinder head. It is possible to mod the cereal bowl to fit though.

Yeah, you'll need to modify/slice a piece of the cereal bowl off to clear the driver's side head.

Also if the front top end of the master cylinder extends more than 10" from the firewall, it will interfere with the bottom side of your hood. (I'm guessing the hydroboost usually extends more than 10".)
