When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Blowing blue smoke on decel...
Argh!!! Been going through oil on this motor at the track for awhile, but the smoke is new for this year.
Blowing blue smoke on decel into corners now. AFR's are 1.5 points too rich. Motor isn't making the power that it should.
Going to do a compression and leak down test in the next few days, I'm really hoping its the valve guide seals and not rings.
Guess I should've done a compression and leakdown when I had the car all apart this past winter. Doh!

Compression is good, it's the valve stem seals. So fairly easy and cheap to fix

I burn a lot of oil and my #7 plug gets fouled quickly, I think my valve seals (especially #7) are also shot.docwyte wrote:Compression is good, it's the valve stem seals. So fairly easy and cheap to fix

Wow, surprised to hear that is a weakness for the engines, I haven't heard of this being a common problem in modern engines. Any idea of the mileage on yours?

My mileage is around 40K, by googling around I've found lots of people talking about their valve guide seals. A cheap and easy fix, thankfully.
