For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Mounting BMW Hydroboost

Working on figuring out the best way to mount everything to the firewall. I saw several threads about the mustang unit and the firewall plate used for that, but what about the BMW system? I'm assuming this also needs to be angled at 12 degrees as well? I know some people have modified the stock cereal bowl, but i looking at adding a firewall reinforcement plate that allowed the BMW hydroboost system to mount directly to it.

Same angle is required, I modified the cereal bowl, but if I did it again I'd just make a plate and build in the angle, probable take less time. Good luck, post pics of what you end up doing!

It may take some modifications to work, but i have one of XSChop's hydroboost mounting plates i ended up not using. The adapter on it is for a Ford Hydrboost, but might be possible to make another plate to fit the BMW unit. Let me know if you may be interested.

Thanks guys, after much debate, I think I'm going to get in on a buddy of mine's CAD project to have one of these made. The idea is to include the 12 degree angle needed for mounting the BMW system along with entending the plate over to the master cylinder for the clutch. Once done I'll share pics.

Getting so close!
