heater hose hookup.

I am looking at hooking up the heater hoses on my lt1 swap. I was wondering if I need to use a bypass valve or if just hooking it up to the original valve will work. I had read something about a restrictor in the system because of the pressure at high rpm. Any information would be helpful.

The stock 944 unit will work but an "H" valve could improve coolant flow, which could improve cooling.
