For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Who said a 5.3 can't make some niose?
This in my shop car that we put together using a 5.3l truck motor and a few other parts. It is pretty much a stock motor with my tubular manifold and dual 2.5" exhaust. And yes it is an auto as well.
It is for sale if anyone is looking for a turn key car.

Also here is a link to the build

Pretty impressive for a stock 5.3L! Nice build.
Re. the Chump Car you built - wow, there is now way they won't get assessed 100+ lap penalty but who cares! I would love to do a Chump Race in that bad boy.
Finally I noticed you had a nice custom intake tube that avoided the head light mechanism on the drivers side. I tried to do this with pieces of AL tube and rubber bends and it's still not right. My hood closes but it's pushed up at the front drivers side corner due to my crappy fab skills. Can I buy a similar tube from you? How much?

Nice job (as usual)...why does the automatic behave as it has an LSD diff?
In normal driving does the automatic shift at the normal RPMs from 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

Power over comes the tires at just about any pedal position. No LSD needed......
Even with a open diff , in a straight line , the power will over come both tires.
The shift points are adjustable by the TV cable.

I saw this car in person, very nice build and cool color, changes in the light, but is not a pearl. At least I don't think it is a pearl.
I never saw an open diff car spins both tires, that is way cool!

thats great you worked the bugs out of tv cable i knew you would figure it out .great build .it has a awesome take off i bet .i have been debating a 5.3 install in my auto sbc conversion as well .the carbed 350 i currently have installed works great and it is very dependable.the auto trans makes a great posi burnout even though its an open diff.0 to 100 mph is very much a blur for the auto .very nice conversion you have with the 5.3.looks like a factory install.
