For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

Has this been seen by anyone? $380 vac pump
As I haven't been involved in a swapped car for about 5 years, but always like the idea of them, I ran across this article and thought you might be interested. Seems cheap price, wonder if will do what you guys want?? The other good one is like $1k.

Interesting website...also that fact that electric cars are so quiet you probably need to add a muffler to the vacuum pump needed for your power brakes.
And then you realize the pump runs on electricity just like the heater, air conditioner compressor & fans, power windows, seats, steering, wipers, entertainment system, yada, yada and charging your car batteries everyday sends your electric bill through the roof. No wonder they aren’t very popular.
So if you’re converting your 944 to EV propulsion you could use some sort of electric powered brakes. What's nice about a V8 conversion we already have a big motor to provide power to all the accessories plus the engine itself is a huge vacuum pump. Then just paint the car green

The obvious elephant in the room is the fact that you still need a place for the vacuum booster. A vacuum pump does not solve the problem of the booster.

Obviously, I would have said exactly what you said but decided to temper my forthrightness with a modicum of political savvy

... I have never had trouble finding vacuum in my engine, unless I have an overly aggressive cam.
