For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Carpet Kits?
Has anyone used any of the after market carpet kits that are sold on the net?
Seems that every car I see needs new carpet and would like to have a nice kit to install.

You need to call, the 944 kit is not listed.
Looks like one of the better kits as far as i have scene over the years. The original carpet in my car is in good shape, but like all 944's it is permanently embedded with that 25 year old Porsche 'musk'.

Someone at 944Fest had the RS style, low ply carpet that looked great a few years ago. Did not see the factory style ply though.

Re: Carpet Kits?
Everything will pretty much be pre cut sections to glue down. They do look nice when done, but take a lot of work. I don't know of anyone producing a kit that is exactly like OEM. World Upholstery is where I usually get my kits from, Silvernit is the fabric IIRC.

Re: Carpet Kits?
Remember Rob (Robmb) from the old porschehybrids site? Anyway, he owns classic9leathershop. Really awesome guy. He did a conversion too and I remember him saying if any of us hybriders called, he would give us a discount (not sure if thats still the case though). As for how good his work is....From how I understand it, he's done work for Jay Leno. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
EDIT: Arthro beat me to it.

He's done work for me too! I had my dash, seats and console done in leather by him. Great work, can't comment on the carpet kits, but I believe he does offer the original style carpet as an option.
