Dash lights Empty Dash lights

How can I get the oil level light and brake fluid level lights to go out? I read the oil level light has a wire off of the dash cluster that be grounded to turn it off, does anyone know which wire that is for an 87 turbo?
I twisted the brake fluid wires together as I read that would turn it off but it didn't work. I could try grounding one of those to turn it off, anyone know which color wire will do that?

Other that that it seems to be running fine. I took it off of the jackstands and pulled it out of the garage for the first time last night. That was a good feeling.

For the brake Fluid light ground a yellow/black GE/SW wire it connects at the following pins : B9 on the cluster, into Central Electronics on pin D41, and out of Central Electronics at pin E11. Ground it at any point.

For the oil level warning you need to ground the White/Yellow WS/GE wire that goes from pin A15 on the cluster to pin 8 of the DME connector (engine bay by booster).

Will the "!" light go out (mine is lit up) when I hook up the check engine light wire from the ecu to it? How would I hook that up?

Thanks

No, you must have another warning light on causing the ! Light to come on. Is your ebrake switch working?

Just went and checked my dash lights. The ebrake and the brake fluid lights are lit up. How do I get rid of the e brake light (without getting a new switch)? Is that what's causing it to be on?

Find the wire that goes to the ebrake switch, and ground it! I can check the wiring diagrams when i get home if you need colors.

The brake fluid warning light is out. I didn't need to ground it, just clip the wire.
The oil level light is still on. Pin 8 on the connector by the brake booster is for the water temperature gauge. Thanks, for the help any other ideas?

Sorry, I thought the brake fluid switch would close the circuit, not open it.

I was correct about the oil level switch, just incorrect about what connector it went to, it goes to the 8 pin connector at the DME, its pin 8 on that switch.

The brake fluid light may have worked as you described, I twisted the wires from the cap sensor together and hid them in the harness.
I figured out you meant the flat 8 pin connector from the DME. Being dense, I connected the yellow/white wire to the green/white and the light was still on. I then ran another wire and grounded it to the engine block. Now all the lights are off including the idiot light. Thanks, for your help. I couldn't have done it without your guidance.

I then ran another wire and grounded it to the engine block.

Where did you connect the other end of this wire? Thanks.

I ran a wire from the yellow/white oil level warning light wire at the dash cluster to the white/green oil level sensor wire that is pin 8 on the black flat DME connector in the passenger footwell. I connected another wire to those two wires and to the engine block as a ground.

Was the yellow/white wire at that same 8 pin connector? I'm trying to get the engine oil light turned off as well. I've tried grounding pin8, which is yellow/white, and pin1, which is green/white on mine, both and the light is still on.

I will have to check tomorrow. I think the yellow/white wire was at the dash cluster that I ran to the green/white wire at the DME connector. I combined those two with another wire that was used as a ground.
