The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Any one did 0-60 in their hybird?

Post  Diyman25 on Wed Sep 05, 2012 4:18 am

I know our car is not design to drag it, but since i am still wearing my stock size wheel 16 inch

with 225/50/16. i think before i can twist any thing the tire will brake traction first

so i hook up my racelogic Vbox that i normaly use for my lap time device but it also can measure 0-60

so last night around 1:30 am i roll out to the industrial area near my house

dont really want to drop the clutch

so i keep rev around 1500rpm and roll it out first then WOT

not surprisely the tire brake traction but just for very very short time

and sec time when i shift up to 2th

i was suprise i get a 5.5 sec 0-60

despite i never pratice it. often ( i love track more then street drag)

i think with right tires.. the car can go easy under 5 sec

wondering did any one done this type of test before ?

I can easily keep up with a C5 Z06 (that has shorter gearing) in a straight line with my car. So I'd say my 0-60 is the same as his...

First to second on mine feels like there is a mechanical block then it shifts into gear. It doesn't grind there is a pause before it can get into gear. The other gears are fine. It seems like a common complaint on the Porsche forums.

This bugged me for years but I recently found a way to alleviate ~90% of it by changing how I shift. Before, I would hold the shifter on the right and 1st to 2nd would be down with some pressure to the left, and I would always hit that blocking/pausing feeling.

I changed it so I hold the shifter on the top and make sure the shift is straight back with no sideways pressure. Doing it this way reduced almost all the blocking feeling I had. Giving it any pressure to left results in that pause again. I haven't tried it yet but I wonder if slight right pressure would avoid it completely?
