HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Yep, 2.5 single after Y, non-flex connections and without cat(s) and Magnaflow with those Hookers and a Z06 cam. Easy breathing

Re: opinion on my exhaust?
Run the pipes without an X-pipe, paint them with black spray paint. Drive the car for a while until the paint shows discoloration in a specific area. This is where there is the most cavitation and the best place to put the X-pipe, if there is room.

I have heard of tricks like that before, and if there is no space is it better to place the x before or after the discoloration? And that will be nice to see the difference betwwen the two

Can't help you with the in front or behind the burn area. You are limited with options and keep the exhaust tucked up tight. Look through the exhaust pics Admin has taken of the X-pipes on his conversions, they are probably in a good spot.

Re: opinion on my exhaust?
Hello all,
I am inching along on my conversion and am quite a ways from worrying about exhaust but I figured this was a good post to ask a question. I am using Eric's long tube headers and will use 3" collecters that will go into a 3"x3"X3" Y pipe (I will use flex pipes after the collectors). I am going to use a single 3" exhaust as I already have a stainless 3" system from my original 951. My question is whether there is any need or gain by having an X pipe prior to the Y. There will not be any cats as I do not need to worry about emissions.
Thanks,
Geoff

Thanks, that's what I thought. I figured the Y pipe achieved the same mixing of pulses but thought I would take advantage of the post and ask.
