The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Clutch and Flywheel. What should I run?

Post  the951racer on Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:43 am

Hey guys....I'm still plugging alon with my build as I just did the 5th gear swap a couple weeks ago. Anyway, what is the best clutch and flywheel setup to run for street drivability. I'm not planning on racing the car but, I will drive it hard on occasion. More like just street cruising with the wife and going to car shows. The motor should put down close to 500 hp per my tuner and machine shop guy. Just wondering what the best setup would be. Pros/Cons with aluminum flywheel ect.

Thanks in advance.

I'm running the setup TPC sells, SPEC aluminum flywheel, PP and stage 2 disc. No cons to report.

By setup TPc sells...What setup are you referring to? Maybe I'm missing something. Do they sell a kit that contains everything you listed? Or is that suggested by Eric?

Yeah, TPC is a SPEC dealer. I bought the whole setup from them.

Oh ok. Was thinking that but, didn't remember for sure. No chatter or vibration for everyday use?

Nope, works great. Holds my 430hp motor just fine. Kit comes with shim and alignment tool. Shim measurement is a bit of a PITA but well documented.
