The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

block choice limitations
What small blocks can't be used. I was wanting to use a 4 bolt main 70s truck block...
Will I have any issues with that choice?

Beyond using a carburetor and the inherent hood clearance by doing so, no. All SBCs will work.

How about a stroker motor, are there clearance issues with the modified pan, is anyone running one?

I just picked up a stroker motor to replace mine. I'll soon find out if my old oil pan will fit... I'll let you know what happens. I pick up the new motor this Saturday.

Thanks, and good luck! I need some more HP/TQ to keep up with those C6s on the straights, I've got about 420 now and think another 80HP should keep me in the game!

Re: block choice limitations
Just a simple update...
I picked up a good 4 bolt block. Bored it 60 over with some nice Keith black dome pistons. Snagged a good Wieland 8004 intake. Steadily making progress.
Just got it cleaned up.
