For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

AC Question
Before I put my 948 into storage I was chasing a AC leak. I could not find a leak in the engine bay, compressor or radiator areas.
Has anyone any experience of ac leaks under the dash and where to look for them?

Re: AC Question
Hey Mike, get a can of the A/C refrigerant with dye in it and the glasses, etc. It's cheap, available at Advanced, Pep Boys, etc, and you will save a ton of time looking for the leak. I've used this before, worked like a charm.

Re: AC Question
As the other mike said a UV dye is a must......
The best way to see, and change out, the expansion valve (and connections) is by removing the HVAC blower cover in the rain tray. I don't remember if you can see much of the evap core though.
If you haven't already changed the expansion valve, this would be a good time to do it.....I picked that and a dryer up from Polar Bear Inc.....you will also want some cork filled insulation tape, to wrap up the valve and lines afterwards.
