When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Wheels - Where to go?

Post  stanzapilot on Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:50 pm

I need help finding wheels! I want 17" wheels. Where can I go to find options, ebay didn't seem to have any. Any aftermarket?

Watch the craigslist, pelican and rennlist classifieds. OEM wheels from 993s, 996s and boxsters fit late offset cars. Spacers will make 'em fit '86 and earlier cars. Occasionally you'll set a set of replica wheels in early offsets. Those aren't as light or strong as OEM wheels, but don't require spacers.

I know this is really late, but I used 17" wheels from a 91' Corvette ZR1. You get 17x11" for the rear and 17x9.5" for the front. That let me use 265's front, 295's rear.

I just picked up similar, Corvette 17X8.5" and 17X9.5 bead to bead by the looks of it. blew my second outer CV ball cage up because of wheel hop so time for an upgrade from the factory rubber. Looks like
2.5 " offset, same as yours? What did you use for adapter thickness?
Thanks!

Works USA has a good selection of rims - that is, if you can stomach the prices. I have the Meister 3Ps in 18x10 and 18x12 (widebody kit installed).

wheels

Post  gamman on Fri Jun 14, 2013 12:20 am

if you guys could settle on a design (good luck getting any group), I can get wheels made to almost any spec. The trouble is, you might design yourself out of a strong set to a weak set....

so a vote for fuch reps in a certain size, or bbs basketweaves, or W.H.Y....
