Using GM "F body" PS pump and Hydroboost, is original reservoir OK?
For those with the LS1 conversion, using the GM "F body" PS pump. and also hydroboost, did you continue to use the GM plastic integral reservoir, or go to a remote PS reservoir?

PS Pump
I used a Turn One PS Pump which is an uprated GM pump and appears to use the stock reservoir. According to the experts the stock GM pump cannot generate sufficient pressure for the Porsche steering rack. I have not changed the reservoir with the addition of Hydroboost. I moved the stock PS cooler from the pax side to the driver's side.

I've used factory GM pumps with the plastic res, and a cooler and have had no real complaints.

TonyG would boil the power steering fluid when he used the factory F body pump, even with a cooler on the track.
If the car is just a street car I'm sure it'll be fine, otherwise get the Turn1 pump. I have a Turn1 on my car with a cooler and I've never had an issue on the street or the track.
