For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Billet 948 Shifter Inserts
I'll need a show of hands on these. I hand-lathed these shifter inserts out of 6061-T6 to where they have a stronger lip so they can be popped in and out of the shifter knob/boot without breaking like the factory plastic POS. It installs pretty tight and I had to clean up some of the excessive leather in the knob, then added a small dab of RTV inside.....Solidly mounted..... and actually reflects the sun's heat some too.......I spent the entire afternoon doing the programming, then re-programming to get the 948 numbers set centered and filled in..... I'll do $68 shipped US-48 only...lemme know if you are interested and I'll start a run in a week or so.......

Got you down Mike. I wish my CNC had the exact font that you did for the rear badge. I adjusted the price on these at $68 shipped US-48 and will leave this thread up a couple weeks, then do the run.

Not many interested at the time. I'll make some in 2 weeks for those that chime in here before then.

Shifter insert
Rob,
Is it possible to powder coat the insert prior to engraving the "948" and then engrave the 948 removing the powder coat where the number sits?
Mike
PS I have the Truetype Posche Font if that helps.
