The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Getting close
I still have to:
-build the tool / template to trim the buckets
-find a local source for the 4x6 lights and hardware (buckets and bezel)
-finalise the installation process, and
-test everything
I’m still hoping to start sale in May
Thanks

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Are you going to have the S2/951 version then also? I have a european rear bumper and the rear cabriolet decklid that I deleated the 3rd brake light on that needs paint but I want to waite untill the headlight buckets are ready so I can just have them all painted at once. If you don't think the S2 version will be ready just let me know so I can have the parts I have ready painted and I will deal with painting the headlight buckets when they are ready!

Sorry, I forgot to post this.
Ok, so the approximate prices at this time are:
- Texas Performance GTS buckets - uncut fibreglass: $150
- Texas Performance GTS buckets - uncut Carbon fibre: $250
- Texas Performance GTS buckets - cut ??
- Lenses cover (any color): $125 (this is the price that is more subject to change)
Thanks

Slightly off topic or should I say parallel
I try the heavy duties Meguiare’s headlight restoration kit on my daily drive this morning and the results are pretty good.
I can see using this product on the GTS headlights covers in the future.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
I hooked up the light tonight and left them on to see if the heat produced by the bulb could be a problem for the cover.
I left them on for over 1 hour on high beam and I was using a Euro light with a 60/55W bulb.
Result: no worry. The cover only reaches 40 degree Celsius at the hottest spot, and this on a stand still car.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Hi everyone,
I got bad news from my glasser yesterday.
The prices that I listed earlier were base of the first price my glasser gave me as a quick estimate before doing any parts.
After doing 4 set in fibreglass and 1 set in carbon fibre, he review his time sheets and he is in the hole, so he had to raise his price.
I will have to crunch number to see by how much this will impact the selling price.
I will talk with him next week and see if he can lower his price with bigger order at the time.
I’m trying to keep the cost as lost as possible but there is think I can’t control.
On the bright side, prices will still be far from competitors.
Also I’m getting closer to the end.
The first attempt on the installation process didn’t go as plan (no surprise), but I can say that I’m halt way there.
Tooling for trimming are almost ready, in fact 1 in done and the second one is 50% done.
I’m sorry about the bad news, stay tune for further development and pricing.
Thanks

Headlights
I think this is a good place to post in this thread.
I have a pair of TPS headlight buckets and used the rectangular sealed beam light units. I'm not satisfied with the performance of these light bulbs and would like to upgrade to something better. The buckets are fine and look good on the car.
I would welcome any input on which modern system to use. The system must have main and dip beams.

I am not a buyer, but the next prototype to work in would obviously be to incorporate brighter/better looking lights. I too am working on releasing a product to the market, eveything takes way too long unfortunately. Sad to hear about the bad estimate. Once you have a prototype (or 5), I would shop around.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
I had a chat with my glasser and I have good and bad (kind of) news.
The good news is that he lower is price base on bigger order.
The bad news are that he didn’t lower enough so I will have to increase my price and the order as to be a minimum of 10 sets (10 fibreglass or 10 carbon fibre, no mix).
Basically you will have to wait until I have enough order before I process it to the glasser, and he estimate is production time at 2-3 weeks for 10 sets.
Price will come shortly; I want to look at all the other cost (hardware, packing, etc) in order to keep it as low as possible.
I will also look into shipping cost.
I will either use the online estimate or go with a fix rate for USA / CAN, international will be online estimate.
I’m also debating if I’ll be selling lights or not for 2 mains reason:
-A lot of people want different option and I can’t keep up with that.
-I haven’t yet find parts at a decent price locally.
More to follow
Thanks

Hmmm, it is starting to look like a 951 specific set is not going to happen, or be a long way off?
I might have to consider a non 951 set instead and just deal with the fitment. Can you fit a set to a 951 and post pictures so we can see the issues?
I would only need the buckets and lenses shipped to US......when will we know the price?

I want to do it and I will, but one of the limitations is the fact that I don’t own one and I have not find one at this time in Ottawa that want to do the conversion and I need one for development test.
Price in a week or so.
Thanks
