After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Bellhousing

Post  968gene on Fri Aug 07, 2009 6:45 am

I placed an ad on the Corvette Forum and had three offers in two days. I paid $125 for both pieces including the bolts.

American Camaro and Firebird in OKC has a C5 2-piece for 135 + shipping. I asked when I went to pick up the F-body bracket.

Thanks guys. I had made a new WTB thread at corvetteforum a few days ago with no response. I also just emailed american camaro and firebird about the bellhousing and will see what they say. Cool

I see theres an LS2 bellhousing on eekbay but has a crack in it which leads to another question...what years are useable? LS2 was in 2005 so Im assuming any housing from 1997 to current???

If you don't mind ordering from Canada, two of us got ours from Champion Motors in Toronto. They are also a sponsor of LS1Tech. Ask for Rob.

1997-up. GM PART # 12554980.

Stay away from the cracked BH...will cause major headaches on the 944.
Ask marc a.

GM Parts Direct gets about $170 new, IIRC.

Well, I just bought this cracked C5 bell housing for $35 on ebay. Says it has a hairline crack in the bottom center hole. My bro in law is an expert welder, so hopefully he can fix it. Otherwise, I'm only out $35, so no biggee. I'm just hoping it's the right kind of BH, and not an auto one or something.

The auto version is one-piece...and smaller diameter. (GM #12551118)

If he can weld 'er up, great!
Hard to beat $35.
