When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Suspension and brakes

Post  headstrong2740 on Thu Jan 26, 2012 1:45 pm

I have an 87 porsche 924S

I noticed that the suspension needs to be changed as it stats for the 924's from short A arms to long and then i believe it mentioned the spindles need to be changed as well..

Is this the case for the 924S as well?

I am pieceing everything together and makeing sure i have everything figured out before i pull the trigger.... i still have some ideas to work out and some other questions to explore before i make the jump for the motor and everything else to get the process underway.

Ok here is what i need to know guys...

as you know I have the 87 924S and i need to know what else i am going to need to get the motor in and where the best locations are to get it.
Just filed my taxes and have a massive return coming back and would like to get this conversion done and get the car on the road soon.

I am going to be getting the 5.3L motor and i need to know what other items besides the motor i need to replace... (cooling system, suspension parts, etc, etc)

I need to know what shocks work well... what brake systems work (and alll parts i need to replace with it)

I also need to know what you guys think about rebuilding the Torq tube (remember i have the auto box which will be staying for the time)

If you guys can let me know what you know and think would work let me know ASAP!!!
Also if i am missing anything or overlooking it... point it out too... I need to nail down a budget on this quick.
