550hp, how much torque are you sending through that transmission?
Looking at the dyno chart I see 570 from 4000-5000rpm. Flat as a table.
I did a nice rebuild on it, and I just dont shock it with abuse... Well, I mean I dont drive it like an idiot... Well, I mean... It puts up with me.

Heck yes. I am still 'round now & then.
I use the RH rad provided with the kit. Seven years so far, great rad.
Hey, guess what I did this weekend? I did a 1/2 mile open drag race event. Yup - HALF MILE.
It was a hoot. Here is some video:

Hey Michael, did you see the Corvette ZR1 that ran off the end through the fence?
He is a friend of a guy I work with.

I think he was literally the FIRST car on the runway. He held us up for quite some time.
There were very few incidents (him & a GTR were all I can recall) overall a safe event minus those.

Re: 944 V8 representing at open road race in 2012
My friend said that this guy told him that he just let up on the gas and then he realized he didn't have time to stop. At that kind of speed things happen so fast you can't wait. I understand he did quite a lot of damage. Destroyed the nose & windshield along with ?? It was leaking fluids as well. The ZR1 has a special windshield with a UV blocker and the few that are still available are $2-3000 each--wow! My friend has a regular Vette windshield in his ZR1 because of this.
Sounds like it was a good time otherwise. I would like to do this if I ever get my car finished. I hope to finely be done for next summer. Just final bodywork, paint and final assembly remaining.
