HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

selling conversion parts due to new baby
I will send pics. All i have is my iphone so i will need a phone number to send pics. Pm me with any questions.
I have xchops rx7 custom control arms for late and early 944's 7mm spacer for the crossmember also
968 30mm front sway bar with new bushings with the modified mount for the control arms with the 3 way adjustable 19mm rear sway bar also.
Manual steering rack with intermediate shaft and tie rods
bellhousing adapter plate machined by me
quick bleeder for the clutch throw out bearing
hose and adapter to the clutch slave
C5 automatic bellhousing machined grooves for the hoses
Lt1 up rights from performance customs
Vss gear kit from performance customs
sanderson headers ceramic coated
Lt1 oil pan from performance customs
Crossmember machined for more room front to back
xchops solid trans mount for early trans but will work with late models with a little modification to the passenger side mount.
23 spline clutch
turbo trans with 65k miles with the oil cooler i can get the code if needed its in my shed.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Most of the parts are new and not even used. I need to clean out the garage and get rid of this 944. I am keeping the engine and the standalone wire harness just incase i put it in a truck. It stinks that i have to sell my project but the family needs my full attention. thanks everyone

Congrats on the new born schwinny! Somethings just take priority don't they.
I just got a pair of the RX-7 LCA from xschop over the holidays and they are a WOW! Xschop does some wonderful work. Can't believe you still have them. I haven't installed mine yet as I'm still in the gathering and fit stages of parts on my car.

Sway bar mount just located in the hole in the control arm to show location..... not proper position...

@951racer:if you go to xschop "nailed it" he has a lot of the info on his build and custom parts and in the items for sale area or use the search options. One area that he mentions is the 944 lower control arms are weak and break. I can testify to that fact and these are beefier than the stock and way better than the original's I started with. I have a 84' 944 with stamped steel LCA so the late models were an up grade but these are even better. He has made these work on early and late style offset. Need to read his thread.
I will have testimonals but much later down the road as I am a newbie with this coversion and just getting started.

The headers will only work on the LT motors. LS is a totally different animal.

Re: selling conversion parts due to new baby
1. Use CV grease. Completely fill the cavity behind the bearing/adapter with grease through the pilot hole, find something that closely fits inside the pilot bearing hole (e.g. wooden dowl, bolt, etc). Wrap a towel around it and hit it with a mallet. Works great! Do Not try on LS engines though.
2. Autozone rents a pilot bearing removal tool that works great too. The grease method is great for after hours or too lazy to go to the store but can be messy without the towel.

The manual rack will be 275 shipped it has the intermediate shaft and good tie Rods. The trans will be hard to ship. Not sure how to go about that. I'm asking 500 for the trans.
