For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Warning, Warning, Warning
I bought a oil filter relocation kit from sloan, it used Push Lok fittings an 240 psi hose.
Driving back from the exhaust shop I got an oil light and no oil pressure.
Today I got the car on the lift and found the filter return line off its fitting. I could easily push the hose on and pull it off again. It's close to the exhaust, must have cooked.
New oil and temporary clamps, back on the road.
Braided hose and fittings on order, ditch this push on stuff.

CONFIRM, CONFIRM, CONFIRM
Also the alloy Twist-On fitting are crap. The Stainless braid does not allow the threading to compress the inner polymer lining properly......If you use braided stainless or push-on also use hose clamps.

Though those Push Lok fittings are not ideal, when installed correctly they should work just fine for stock oiling systems. Dozens of vendors sell a Push Lok type relocation kit for the LS1. (I also would suggest an Oetiker clamp or fuel injection clamp as added insurance.)
Do you think heat from the exhaust could have softened the hose enough so that it could slip off? I have a wrap around heat shield in that area to protect the oil lines.
BTW, I am using the taper tread on fittings with SS braid. As Xschop mentions, they are a pain to get installed correctly but very robust when done so.
