The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

swapping my late rear hubs to early sets....?
Im trying to have more choices of rears wheels. I do not mind using spacers if needed. So Im trying to figure out what is needed to replace my rear late model hubs to something from 86 maybe. Any thoughts, issues or concerns?
TIA

I swapped early model rear hubs into Rogue S2's 944 and it was just time consuming.

Eric, what do I need? hubs, bearings, axle stubs, rotors? is that it? or the rear brake assembly as well? Im assuming, I can only use 85.5 to 86 only?

Eric,
What did you do with ABS? Did you still keep it or get rid of it? If you kept it, how did you do that?

I don't remember what all he brought, I know we changed bearing, Just cause it needed them. Also used the early hub and rotor. I don't recall having to change the Brakes. Rotor stays in the same location, only the wheel mounting surface moves.
Swapping my late rear hubs to early sets...
I went with some 18" 996 turbo twist rims. on my '91 S2. To do that we used '86 hubs. Eric at TPC installed new bearings and rotors. the '86 hubs allowed my rims to sit further in the wheel well. I had to purchase some HHR hub centric wheel spacers and lugs to get them spaced out correctly. It took some time and $, but the 285/30/18 GY Eagles work fantastic.

Details on the spacers?
Looking to use the same wheel setup and wondered if anyone remembers the details on the spacers used. Thanks!

This is what we had to do to get the factory PCCB rear hats/rotors on a late car so the factory E- brake remained functional and the ABS ring is on the inner stub axle, so it remains....

I just checked my build notes and switching over to the Early outer hubs on a Late car sets the hub inwards 29.00 mm.
